We've been going to the Birchwood Cafe for more than 25 years. We all love the platter cakes (my favorite is the wild rice variety) , and we all love the hash browns. My in laws always get the omelets, and my oldest son wouldn't miss the strawberry topped waffles. The hot chocolate makes the boys happy, and the coffee is perfect for me.

So good!  Everything was perfect...  ooey gooey caramel rolls, perfectly crisp hashbrowns and the wild rice omelette was yummy!  The pancakes were bigger than the plate!  We'll definitely go out of our way to come back here.

Have only stopped here once, but it was delicious and satisfying. Husband had the hot turkey sandwich, I had the hot beef sandwich. Both were amazing - real skin-on mashed potatoes, plenty of gravy, and a good portion of meat. Bread could have been better, but it wasn't a deal breaker by any means. Free refills on soda. Waitress was pleasant and attentive, but not pushy at all. Place was full of locals on a New Years Eve day. Cute place with reasonably priced comfort food. Will be back to try one of the yummy looking breakfast plates!

Probably one of the bigger pancakes I've ever seen, as well as one of the best I've ever tasted.  Friendly service and more than fair prices for an awesome breakfast after a cold winter weekend at a cabin with friends.  Definitely worth your time if you're in the mood for a quaint local eatery.

Had the wild rice soup. OMG. The hot turkey sandwich was delicious as was the cod filet dinner. Yum.
